Where can I get instructions to configure my modem with a block of static IP addresses?
Do I need to modify my TCP/IP settings if I am using static IP addresses?
Yes. You will need to configure the TCP/IP stack on each individual computer with one of the useable static IP addresses.
- Specify the subnet mask, gateway and domain name server.
- Do not attempt to update your TCP/IP stacks for at least one hour after you lease your static IP addresses, or you may lose Internet connectivity.

How do I set up Reverse DNS on CenturyLink leased static IP blocks?
Instructions are based on your account type:
If your email address ends in @q.com, @centurylink.net:
Log into the static IP tool. Under Reverse DNS Mapping, click the View or change link and then fill in the DNS table as needed.
If your email address ends in @qwest.net, @qwestoffice.net:
Log into Account Manager. Select Configure your DNS Records and then follow the onscreen instructions.
